I currently attend UW River Falls, majoring in Equine Science. I am a forth year student. With my degree I plan to own and operate a training and lesson facility with an interest in equine breeding. I have been working with horses for 10 years. In 2001, I started working for Wild River Stable, taking out trail rides for the public. At home, I have four of my own horses that I have trained for speed events, pleasure riding, trail riding and roping. I have also sold some well trained colts to 4-h families.
I have been heavily involved with 4-H. I currently compete with my horses in many local events. I take most lessons during spring and summer when school is not in session. I am familiar with a variety of different disciplines, including: trail riding, horsemanship skills, reining, beginning Western and English, with an emphasis in speed events. During the spring and summer I offer lessons in these disciplines. I also offer colt starting and/or finishing, training for the seasoned horse that needs a tune up and the problem horse.
The Training that I provide my clients and their horses is always unique and constantly changing with each new horse and rider. I like to start the horse off in the right direction and then work with the rider to tune them in together. My methods are never cruel or controversial, but often firm enough for precise effectiveness. The methods make sense to the horse because they stem from the animals own body language. I follow horsemanship sense from Ray Hunt.

Just a reminder,
I am open for clients this spring/summer and I am able to travel to West Central WI, East Central MN, and in the North branch, Taylors Falls, St. Croix Falls Areas.
